Serving the Ontario corridor from Ajax/Oshawa through Mississauga to Midland
Cooksville's older roofs and Churchill Meadows' newer builds need different plans
Mississauga's roofline reflects the city's growth. Streetsville, Cooksville and Clarkson still carry steeper-pitched roofs and mature tree cover from the 1960s through the 1980s, while Meadowvale, Erin Mills and Churchill Meadows have newer, wider roof planes with less shading.
Sunly's Mississauga crews plan panel layout and mounting around whichever type your home falls into, and coordinate net metering paperwork with Alectra Utilities, the local distribution company for the city.
That same planning runs the length of Sunly's Ontario corridor. Homeowners further west can start with our solar panel installation in Hamilton, and homeowners east of Mississauga can look at solar installation across Durham and the Kawarthas; both follow the same solar installation process our Mississauga team uses.
What Alectra customers pay right now, and the two ways to bring it down
Ontario's time-of-use electricity prices were last reset by the Ontario Energy Board on November 1, 2025: 9.8 cents per kWh off-peak, 15.7 cents mid-peak and 20.3 cents on-peak, with the next reset due May 1, 2026.
The province also raised the Ontario Electricity Rebate applied to every bill to 23.5 percent as part of that same update.
Mississauga homeowners currently have two main ways to offset a solar purchase: the Save on Energy Home Renovation Savings program, worth up to $5,000 toward a solar installation, or net metering, which credits surplus power at the retail rate and carries it forward for up to 12 months. Ontario's rules mean you pick one or the other for the same system, not both, so we walk through which fits your household as part of the free online estimate.

Solar has so many benefits every homeowner deserves to be getting
"Putting solar on our properties, whether it be on the hotel in the Bahamas or our projects in Ontario, it has just always made sense.
Solar has lowered electricity costs, helped us be one step closer to being prepared for power outages, extended our roofs life and helped reduce the future demand of electricity.”
